[20] Guild Wars 2 Builds - Guardian: Spirit of Restorative Resolve - Mace/Focus & Staff (Heal/Support) Build |PVE

Guardians can be mages too! Using a staff and mace/focus kind of feels like you're a White Mage from the Final Fantasy series. This is a support build with the use of Spirit Weapons and a specialization in healing.

Weapon Set:
Primary: Mace/Focus
Secondary: Staff

Healing, Utility, Elite Skills:
Healing:
(6) Healing Breeze - heals for you and your allies

Utility:
(7) Shield of the Avenger - good attack/support skill

(8) Bow of Truth - another good support skill for you and your allies.

Two options for your last utility skills slot:
Option 1:
(9) Contemplation of Purity - your survival skill plus it grants you boons
Option 2:
(9) Signet of Mercy - the passive will make your healing better and the active is a revive skill.

Elite:
(0) Tome of Courage - an overall great support skill

Traits: Build output is 30/0/0/30/10
Zeal: 30 points here as you'll get the 30% increase in your boon duration. This overall will make your Regeneration boon last longer
(VI) Spirit Weapon Mastery - a must have if you're using Spirit Weapons

(X) Eternal Spirit - another must have if you're using Spirit Weapons

(XI) Wrathful Spirits - a damage boost for Shield of the Avenger

Honor: Maxing out this trait line maxes your healing power too
(III) Writ of Exaltation - increased area for Symbol of Faith and Swiftness is a plus

(X) Writ of the Merciful - extra heal for Symbol of Faith and another bonus for Symbol of Swiftness

(XII) Battle Presence - giving your allies your healing passive is always a good thing

Virtues:
(V) Resolute - make the passive of Virtue of Resolve stronger will be useful to you and your allies.

Skills that will heal/regenerate health with this build:
Virtue of Resolve, Symbol of Faith, Symbol of Swiftness, Ray of Judgement, Healing Breeze, Bow of Truth, Orb of Light, Martyr and from Tome of Courage, Heal Area, Protective Spirit and Light of Deliverance. Also you heal nearby allies when you dodge.

Looking at that, there is so much variety in skills in which you can heal or regenerate health. This could be seen as a leg of a "soft trinity," but I would consider this a support build that can give advantages in your favor or turn the tide in battle in more ways than one.

[12] Guild Wars 2 Builds - Elementalist - Aquarobics Bending - Staff (Healing/Support) | PVE

Healing? What's that? Such thing doesn't exist in Guild Wars 2 right? Well it does, but there is no such thing as a pure healer. Healing in Guild Wars 2 is used by every profession, however the Elementalist using the staff can provide a little more HP replenish oomph.

Weapon Set:
Primary: Staff

Healing, Utility, and Elite Skills:
Healing:
(6) Glyph of Elemental Harmony - This fits obviously for a glyph oriented build and the boons are a plus.

Utility: This build utilizes Inscription, so the skills chosen are Glyph heavy.
Playing solo:
(7)  Glyph of Lesser Elemental - some extra help if needed

(8) Glyph of Storms - Extra damage

Playing with a group, fighting map bosses and in dungeons:
(7) Glyph of Renewal - reviving allies can turn the tide of the battle and this skill can make it easier especially when you're in the heat of the battle.

(8) Glyph of Elemental Power - this is a great utility skill in group settings as helps in condition stacking.

Both:
(9) Mist Form - Your survival skill and used most of the time to escape battles. Also it fits the theme of the build :)

Elite:
(0) Glyph of Elementals - Emphasizing in support, the added help the Elementals brings is a great choice.

Traits: This build focuses on a 0/20/0/30/20; 20 points into Air, 30 points into Water and 20 points into Arcane Power. The traits in Air synergize well with your healing power and giving it a boost. Water is a powerful support and survivability trait line. And Arcane Power strengthens your overall support role.
Air:
(V) Soothing Winds - This is the trait that can provide the extra oomph for your healing.

(VIII) Inscription - This build utilizes this trait and as support, boon giving is always appreciated.

Water:
(I) Cleansing Water - with the healing emphasis in mind, the addition of removing a condition in the process is worth taking this trait.

(VII) Aquamancer's Alacrity - Water skill is your heal/support bread and butter so of course you'd want the cool downs to be short as possible.

(XII) Powerful Auras - This is a must for group settings and playing support. Just another layer of helping out and getting the job done.

Arcane Power:
(V) Elemental Attunement - The best gift is the gift of giving. Your allies will love you for this.

(VIII) Blasting Staff - Since you're using the staff, this will help you greatly in battles as you can cover more ground with your AOE's.
