Guild Wars 2 Weapon Table: Sword
Weapon Table for the Sword.
Something unique about swords: main-hand swords always grant a gap-closer, while off-hand swords always grant a skill to block attacks.

[34] Guild Wars 2 Builds - Thief: Dolyak Supply Stopper |WvWvW
By: Soul Step (Updated 7/16/2012)
(View Build)
An aspect of WvWvW is keeping your supplies up so your World can continue to build and repair almost anything that will help you attack or defend points in the map. However, supplies need to be shipped from supply depots. This is where this build comes in as to stopping/slowing down your enemy's supply chain.
Weapon Set:
Primary: Dual Dagger
Secondary: Pistol/Dagger
Healing, Utility, Elite Skills:
Healing:
(6) Hide in Shadows
Utility:
(7) Caltrops - cripple to slow down that dolyak!
(8) Needle Trap - immobilizes the dolyak and poisons it too!
(9) Scorpion Wire - used to pull the dolyak back to you.
Elite:
(0) Thieves Guild - extra help to take the dolyak down.
Traits: Build output is 20/30/0/0/20 as the chosen traits focuses on slowing down the dolyak and taking them down as fast as possible.
Deadly Arts:
(II) Poisonous Traps - provides an extra 10s of poison for your needle trap.
(IX) Dagger Training - extra damage when using your daggers
Critical Strikes:
(VI) Executioner - helps kill off the dolyak faster when you drop it to low health
(IX) Combo Crit Chance - extra critical hit chance for your dual dagger skill to land.
(XI) Ankle Shots - used with your pistol for continuing to slow down the dolyak while your skills are on recharge.
Trickery:
(III) Uncatchable - another way for you cripple the dolyak.
(VIII) Trickster - reduces the cooldown for Caltrops and Scorpion Wire.
This build provides plenty of way to apply Cripple to the dolyak to slow it down. You'll have plenty of burst damage with dual daggers, and when your skills are on cooldown switch to pistol/dagger to continue slowing down the supply dolyak.

[30] Guild Wars 2 Builds - Thief: Assassin Cross (Dungeon Edition) - Dual Dagger & Sword/Dagger |WvWvW, PVE and Dungeon
By: Soul Step (Updated 7/13/2012)
(View Build)
After watching the twitch TV broadcast by ArenaNet’s Eric Flannum and Colin Johanson, and hearing about Colin's favorite Elite skill Basilisk Venom and how he used it in dungeons, I decided to take a look at my Assassin Cross build which specializes in Venom Skills. I restructured the build to fit team play style and dungeon environments.
Weapon Set:
Primary: Dual Daggers
Secondary: Sword/Dagger
Healing, Utility, and Elite Skills:
Healing:
(6) Hide in Shadows - Good healing skill and allows you to go into stealth and set up your next rotation or escape if you're dying.
Utility:
(7) Spider Venom - Just like the Assassin Cross class from RO, this build specializes in Venom.
(8) Skale Venom - Another useful Venom build.
Three options for the last skill slot
(9) Roll for Initiative - Your survival skill
or
(9) Haste - If you want to be more on the offensive side, take this steroid boost.
or
(9) Ice Drake Venom - If you want all venom skills as your utility, then pick this one up as well.
Elite:
(0) Basilisk Venom - With the Venomous Aura, you and your team can coordinate a stone-lock (stun-lock) chain on Dungeon bosses.
Traits: Points distributed as 30/0/30/0/10 as you still retain your Power, but lose Crit for survivability and team support compared to the other Assassin Cross build.
Deadly Arts:
(IV) Venomous Strength - Gain might for using Venom? Why yes! You can get up from 4-6 stacks of Might!
(VIII) Quick Venoms - Another must have if specializing in Venom skills. Reduced cooldowns FTW!
(XII) Residual Venom - Again another must have as it makes your venom last longer.
Shadow Arts:
(II) Reviver's Deception - You and your team will be downed a number of times inside the dungeon. This is very helpful during a battle.
(IX) Leeching Venoms - Since you're specializing in Venoms, this is a great utility to have as it provides survivability.
(XII) Venomous Aura - gives your team your venom effects. This is a great utility for dungeon/team environments. As said earlier, with Basilisk Venom, you and your team can coordinate a stone-lock (stun-lock) chain on Dungeon bosses.
Trickery:
(V) Thrill of the Crime - I chose this as it's a good utility trait for team play and the 10 points increases your condition damage.
With this Dungeon edition of the Assassin Cross, you'll still be able to be damage power house as the damage lost through crit is distributed in giving your team Venom effects. This is great in helping applying pressure to enemies and bosses condition-wise.

[25] Guild Wars 2 Builds - Thief: Dagger/Pistol & Sword/Pistol Signet Build |PVE
By: RenDevilRun (Updated 7/11/2012)
(View Build)
Here's my take on the Thief profession and use of signets. The pistol is my personal favorite off-hand for the Thief and I'll be using it for both Primary and Secondary weapon sets. Additionally, to utilize signets in this build, you're going to have to max out Critical Strikes.
Weapon Set:
Primary: Dagger/Pistol
Secondary: Sword/Pistol
Healing, Utility, and Elite Skills:
Healing:
(6) Signet of Malice
Utility:
(7) Assassin Signet - passive increases power
(8) Signet of Agility - passive increases precision.
(9) Signet of Shadows - passive increases your movement speed.
Elite:
(0) Thieves Guild - When things get sticky, call your friends to come out to play.
Traits: 10/30/0/20/10
Deadly Arts:
(VI) Sundering Strike - works with a high critical build.
Critical Strikes:
(II) Signets of Power - 5 stacks of Might!
(VII) Fast Signets - your signet cooldown reducer
(XII) Signet Use - get some initiative back when you use your signet
Acrobatics:
(III) Vigorous Recovery - good with your heal skill
(X) Martial Agility - move faster when you're using a sword.
Trickery:
(V) Thrill of the Crime - makes Steal more useful.
Your high critical hit and damage will make up for only having 100 in power. The thief are meant to be played as burst damage and you have enough vitality to stay in close combat longer.

Healing, Utility, and Elite Skills:

[10] Guild Wars 2 Builds - Thief: Miss Fortune Shock and Awe Range Build | WvWvW and PVE
This is a fun build for WvWvW and PVE. It's in honor for one of my favorite League of Legends Champions, Miss Fortune. As melee thieves deal massive damage, I believe a ranged thief can still hit as hard. Main weapons of course are Dual Pistols (Shock and Awe hehe) and Short Bow to spam the AOE conditions.
Weapon Set:
Primary: Dual Pistols
Secondary: Short Bow
Healing, Utility, and Elite Skills:
Healing:
(6) Signet of Malice
I find as range, you won't stealth as much compared to melee. And the passive here helps with survival as you will be on the offensive often.
Utility:
(v1.0 - Previous build was signet heavy. Even though it provided great offensive power, the cool downs were a little too high for my preference.)
(8) Skale Venom - A very useful condition inflictor. Its used in conjunction with the Venomous Strength trait.
(9) Caltrops - This is really helpful keeping your distance between enemies or slowing them down if you need a means of an escape.
Elite:
(0) Dagger Storm - This provides great damage and can be used to escaped if you're cornered or surrounded.
Traits: This is a 20/30/0/0/20 build as you'll get good damage for power and conditions and high crit.
Deadly Arts:
(I) Venomous Strength - Whenever you use Skale Venom, you get 2 stacks of Might. That's a great way to increase for your fire power, and can make skills like Unload deal massive damage.
(X) Combined Training - Increase the damage output of Unload, Black Powder and Head Shot.
Critical Strikes:
(VI) Executioner - Great damage booster when finishing off an enemy
(X) Pistol Mastery - Since, you'll main dual pistols, the 5% added damage is a plus.
(XI) Ankle Shots - With max points in Critical Strikes, you'll have a good change to apply that cripple and maintain your distance.
Trickery:
Two options for Adept Trait:
Option 1:
(III) Uncatchable - Choose this if you want to have a better chance in surviving and keeping your distance. This also fits with the theme.
Option 2:
(V) Thrill of the Crime - Steal away! The boons you get gives you a great advantage.
Two options for the Master Trait:
Option 1:
(VII) Bountiful Theft - Again, steal away! This provides you and your allies some survival boons.
Option 2:
(X) Ricochet - This fits more for with the theme and if you want to be more offensive.
Aww no Short bow love? Well, this is a themed build, and to be used as a secondary. Don't get me wrong the short bow provides great ranged offense and defense powers as well. You have 3 AOE attacks with Trick Shot, Cluster Bomb and Choking Gas, a damaging evading/escaping skill Disabling Shot and Infiltrator's Shots can be used as an initiator, a gap closer, or provide another way to evade/escape. This along with dual pistols should keep you at bay with your enemies.
Overall, this is a great range offensive build as you can carry your allies to victory with some shock and awe!
